Biomancy is a flesh-themed tech-magic mod for Minecraft that lets players harvest organic materials, grow living flesh creatures, craft biological machines, automate with membranes, and create powerful bio-weapons, armor, and potions. This complete Biomancy guide covers every mechanic, machine, recipe, and progression step — including the Flesh Plunderer, Primordial Cradle, Decomposer, Bio-Forge, Nutrients, Malignant Growth, Essences, Injectors, and more. Perfect for Minecraft 1.18–1.21. Learn how to master Biomancy and turn meat into power.
Biomancy Progression Summary

By this point, you’ll have access to every system in Biomancy.
Part 1. Getting Started With Biomancy
The very first tool you need is the Flesh Plunderer.
How to Craft the Flesh Plunderer
You’ll need:
- Any type of raw meat
- Bones
- 1 Primordial Core
How to Craft a Primordial Core

Combine:
- Raw beef
- Raw porkchop
- Raw chicken
- Raw mutton
- Rotten flesh
- A spider eye
- An ender pearl
All extremely early-game friendly.
⭐ Harvesting Biological Materials
Now equip your Flesh Plunderer and kill mobs with that weapon specifically. It drops different organic components depending on mob type:

Farm Animals Drop:
- Sinew
- Bile glands (rare)
Predators Drop:
- Sharp fangs
- Sharp claws
Predators include wolves, cats, foxes, bats, hoglins, etc.
Farm animals = bile & sinew
Predators = claws & fangs
You’ll need a good supply of both.
⭐ The Primordial Cradle — Your First Biomancy Machine

Now it’s time to build your first horrifying machine:
Primordial Cradle Recipe
- Raw meat
- 2 Sharp fangs
- 1 Primordial core
Place it down.
It starts empty.
How to Use the Cradle
- Feed it raw meat → it fills the internal bar
- Feed it a Potion of Healing
The eye lights up… bubbles rise…
and…
You get a FLESH BLOB.
⭐ Flesh Blobs — Growing and Harvesting

Flesh blobs are living, growing creatures.
- Feed them raw meat to grow
- They will actively hunt nearby animals
- They keep expanding in size
- The larger they get, the more they drop
Killing Blobs Gives:
- Living Flesh
This is critical because it unlocks Biomancy’s main crafting path.
You can kill blobs with any weapon, but using the Flesh Plunderer keeps everything consistent.
⭐ The Bio-Forge — Your Main Crafting Machine
Once you’ve harvested Living Flesh, you can craft the most important workstation in the mod:
Bio-Forge Recipe
- Living Flesh
- Sharp claws
- Slime balls
- Raw meat
Place it and you’ll see a complex interface.
How the Bio-Forge Works
- Recipes are listed on the left
- Each recipe requires specific organic ingredients
- And Nutrients (top-left bar)
How to Get Nutrients
Just insert raw meat.
1 raw porkchop = 32 nutrients (varies by item)
A stack typically gives 512+ nutrients
This powers ALL Biomancy machines.
⭐ The Decomposer — Your Resource Generator
Most Biomancy items require things like:
- Elastic fibers
- Flesh bits
- Bone fragments
- Exotic dust
- Biotic matter
The Decomposer is how you get them.
Decomposer Recipe
- Living flesh
- Sharp fangs
- 1 Bile gland
How It Works
Place an item → it consumes nutrients → outputs organic components.
Examples:
- Sugar cane → Biotic Matter
- Amethyst Shard → Gem Fragments
- Golden Apple → Mineral Fragments / Regenerative Fluid
- Rotten flesh → Flesh bits
The Decomposer is essential for progression.
⭐ Malignant Flesh Growth (Rotten Flesh Variant)
If you feed the Cradle rotten flesh instead of raw meat…
…it creates malignant growth instead of blobs.
This includes:
- Primal membranes
- Primal orifices (filled with acid)
- Bloom nodes that fire spreading berries
- Flesh veining that slowly expands
You can:
- Collect Gastric Acid
- Harvest Bloom Berries
- Grind components in the Decomposer
Standing in the acid → armor shredding & corrosive damage.
So watch your step.
⭐ Weapons, Tools & Gear
Once you have the Bio-Forge running, you can craft a variety of powerful biomantic gear.
1. Caustic Gunblade
- Fires acid projectiles
- Can apply acid coating (press V to switch modes)
- Rechargeable using nutrient paste
2. Acolyte Armor
Grants:
- Resistance to harmful effects
- Less hostility from Primordial Cradle mobs
- Injection resistance
Charge the armor by using Nutrient Bars on it.
⭐ The Digestor — Making Nutrient Bars & Fuel
Digestor Recipe
Crafted inside the Bio-Forge.
What It Does
- Insert RAW food → it digests into Nutrient Paste
- Combine 9 paste → Nutrient Bar
Uses:
- Repairs biomancy weapons
- Charges biomancy armor
- Powers machines
⭐ Essences & Membranes
The Essence Extractor lets you siphon essence from mobs.
You can then combine essence + biometric membrane to create special barriers:
Types of Membranes
- Mob-type membrane (only that mob passes)
- Primal (only living pass)
- Undead (only undead pass)
- Baby (only babies pass)
- Adult (only adults pass)
This is huge for farms and automation.
⭐ Biolab — Organic Potions & Injectables
The Biolab is where you brew Biomancy’s custom “potions”.
How It Works
- Insert nutrients
- Insert compounds (from Decomposer)
- Craft potions like:
- Insomnia Cure
- Regenerative compounds
- Hardening agents
These are NOT drinkable.
You need:
Bio-Injector
Press V to select the serum
- Shift-right-click → inject yourself
- Right-click → inject mobs
⭐ Other Useful Biomancy Items
Bio-Alchemical Fertilizer
Better than bone meal.
Chrysalis
Stores blobs/babies safely.
Flesh Doors, Ladders, Plates
Biomancy has incredible decorative horror blocks.
Maw Hopper
A biological hopper that:
- Stores items
- Acts as a pipe system
- Extends item flow much further than vanilla
One of the coolest utility blocks in the entire mod.
